Questions
Pricing FAQ
What is actually on the drive?
A curated offline library covering medical and first-aid treatment, farming and animal husbandry, water purification, food storage and preservation, off-grid power, basic security and home defense planning, communications, navigation, and an offline reference archive (including a full offline copy of Wikipedia and other reference sites) — plus the SurviveDrive software itself, which lets you browse, tag, and instantly search all of it.
Does it need an internet connection to work?
No. Everything is designed to work completely offline. You never need a network connection to browse, search, or view any file on your SurviveDrive — that's the entire point.
Do I need a computer to use it?
Not with the Raspberry Pi Kit. It's a self-contained unit with a preloaded Pi and an attached 10" monitor — power it on and you're browsing the archive directly, no computer required. The USB Drive and External HDD plug into any Windows, Mac, or Linux computer and run without installing anything.
What happens if the power grid goes down?
The USB Drive and External HDD only need a computer with its own power source (a laptop, for example). The Raspberry Pi Kit needs a power source for the Pi and monitor — we recommend pairing it with a small solar panel, battery bank, or generator as part of your broader preparedness plan.
