About
Why we built an offline knowledge archive for the moments the internet isn't there.
SurviveDrive started from a simple question: if the internet, the power grid, and every service we normally rely on went down tomorrow, where would you actually go to look something up?
Why we built it
Most emergency preparedness advice focuses on supplies — food, water, tools. Fewer people plan for the fact that a huge amount of what you’d actually need in a real emergency is information: how to treat a wound properly, how to purify water, how to handle a sick animal, how to secure your home. That information almost always lives online, one search away — which is exactly the problem the moment “online” isn’t an option anymore.
What SurviveDrive is
SurviveDrive is an offline knowledge archive on a USB drive, external hard drive, or a fully self-contained Raspberry Pi with its own screen. Every format is preloaded with a curated library covering medical care, farming and animal husbandry, water and food, off-grid power, security basics, communications, and a full offline reference archive — all tagged, categorized, and instantly searchable, with zero internet connection required.
What we believe
- Critical information shouldn’t have a single point of failure. If it only exists online, it doesn’t really exist when you need it most.
- Preparedness should be usable, not just theoretical. An archive nobody has opened isn’t much better than no archive at all — which is why we built it around real search and organization, not just a folder of files.
- You should own what you buy. No subscription, no account, no dependency on us staying in business for your SurviveDrive to keep working.
Where we’re headed
We’re a small, focused team continuously reviewing and expanding the library based on what people preparing for real scenarios actually ask for. If there’s a category of information you think belongs on SurviveDrive, we want to hear about it.
SurviveDrive is a reference library and preparedness tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or security training.
